As part of the verification process, the Office of Financial Aid may ask you or your parent(s) to provide a copy of the 2022 tax transcript. Below you will find instructions on how to request a tax transcript by mail, online, and over the phone.
Get Transcript by Mail
Available online by going to the IRS website.
- Select “Get Your Tax Record”
- Select “Get Transcript by Mail”
- Make sure to request the “IRS Tax Return Transcript” and the “IRS Tax Account Transcript” and select 2023 as the tax year.
Get Transcript Online
Available online by going to the IRS website.
- Select “Get Your Tax Record”
- Select “Get Transcript Online”
- Make sure to request the “IRS Tax Return Transcript” and the “IRS Tax Account Transcript” and select 2023 as the tax year.
- To use the “Get Transcript Online” tool, the user must have:
- Access to a valid email address
- A text-enabled mobile phone (pay-as-you-go plans cannot be used) in the user’s name
- Specific financial account numbers (such as a credit card number or an account number for a home mortgage or auto loan)
Telephone Request
Available from the IRS by calling 1-800-908-9946
- Follow prompts to enter tax filer’s information.
- Make sure to request the “IRS Tax Return Transcript” and the “IRS Tax Account Transcript” and request 2023 as the tax year.
